FAQ
Before you print
Does the printed QR change when I edit its content?
No. A dynamic QR contains a permanent fred.my short link. You edit the link destination or replace its file in your account. The printed pattern stays the same. A QR that directly encodes a website address or text cannot be edited this way.
Can I make a QR without signing in?
Yes. The basic generator creates static QR codes locally in your browser. Guest mode has no hosted file QR, editable dynamic destination or scan reports. Sign in to manage dynamic QR codes in one workspace.
What is included in Free?
Up to 10 managed dynamic QR codes in total, including file QR codes. Files can be up to 5 MB each, with 30 days of scan reports. Paused codes still count towards the limit.
What does Pro unlock?
Unlimited managed QR codes, files up to 100 MB each and reports for up to 730 days. fred.my Unlimited includes QR Studio Pro.
Do I need to install an app?
No. QR Studio runs in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer. The Download section explains how to save your QR images.
Are scans unique people?
No. Reports count scans, including repeat visits. They show daily totals and phone/tablet versus computer counts. Known link-preview bots are ignored; reports do not identify individual visitors.
